Driftaway Café is located in beautiful historic Sandfly and has been a Savannah tradition since 2001. This is where you’ll find favorite brunch, lunch and dinner dishes at Savannah’s preferred seafood restaurant — made with the freshest dock-to-dish seafood and locally sourced meats and produce available.
We feature local flavors for every palate, with combinations for devoted seafood lovers and visitors new to our shore. Start with zesty calamari or tender tuna bites, enjoy a house-favorite fish sandwich or spicy firecracker shrimp platter, or keep things lighter with a chicken or salmon salad. Classic favorites, fresh seafood and a touch of Southern delight come together in a menu the whole table can enjoy.

Live music fills Driftaway Wednesday through Saturday evenings, with performers including Matt Eckstine, Chuck Courtney, the Electric Sunberries and many more.
Tuesday brings Half Priced Wine by the Bottle, and Thursday is for Craft Draught Beer Specials. Join us any day of the week for lunch or dinner, with brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Robyn & Michele
Quattlebaum.
Robyn and Michele Quattlebaum have been the heartbeat of Driftaway since its earliest Sandfly days. Robyn grew up nearby around Isle of Hope and recognized something special in the location long before Driftaway became the place guests know today.
Michele spent many summers near Grand Bahama, surrounded by Caribbean flavors. That influence found its way back to Savannah and into Driftaway’s menu alongside Southern seafood traditions, local ingredients and the relaxed coastal food the restaurant became known for.
Their philosophy has never been complicated: welcome people generously, feed them well, create a room where they can relax, and take care of the team that makes it all happen.

Hospitality is the part you remember after the plates are cleared.
Robyn has described the job in practical terms: whatever needs doing to keep the operation moving. That hands-on attitude—and Michele’s flavor perspective—helped shape Driftaway into a place where regulars, visitors and the team behind the scenes all matter.

Giving Guidelines
Good neighbors do more than serve dinner.
In addition to its ongoing philanthropic efforts, Driftaway Café donates to charities and community groups each month. Because the restaurant receives many requests, groups are encouraged to submit donation requests four to six weeks in advance of their event.
